Mardi Gras Storm Brings Heavy Snow, Winds To Lower Cape

A coastal storm Tuesday brought heavy, wet snow to the region, canceling school and slowing traffic. The storm caused numerous power outages and stranded motorists who found it difficult to climb snow-covered hills. Town halls were closed and many businesses shut down for what was essentially the first major snowstorm since 2022.
