Georgina (Gina) M. Burrows

Georgina (Gina) M. Burrows, of Chatham, died an unexpected and unknown death on November 14, 2023 at age 57. She was a beloved soul who loved and cared for many whose surprising death has now left a void in the people who truly know her.
Gina was born on March 18, 1966 to Freda and Fred Nickerson in Barnstable, MA. She was a beloved daughter as well as sister to Leona Nickerson. She went to school at Cape Cod Technical High School where she enjoyed advancing in a career in the culinary arts and graduated in June of 1985.
After high school, she then maintained jobs in various restaurants including The Wayside Inn, in Chatham, and Knots Landing, in Chatham. Although she loved working in restaurants, she eventually found herself working at Star Market, in Harwich, towards the end of her life where she found her calling. She loved working there where she could connect with many different people everyday who, eventually, became a family to her and for a short period of time, worked with her beloved niece, Alexis James.
When Gina wasn’t working, she was always with family. Most of her precious memories were attending family events at the Barnstable County Fair, spending a day at Water Wizz in the summer, going shopping with her mother, Freda, and going to play darts with dearest son, Christian Burrows. She also frequently spent time taking care of her great niece and nephew Frejya and Loki Heili who she loved with her whole heart.
She is survived by her cherished son, Christian Burrows; Parents, Freda and Fred Nickerson; Sister, Leona Nickerson; Niece and Nephew, Alexis James and Michael Heili; Niece in law, Courtney Heili; Great Niece and Nephew, Frejya and Loki Heili.
A graveside service will be held Wed. Nov 29 at 11 AM at Peoples Cemetery Chatham, followed by a celebration of her life at Knots Landing, Rte. 28 Chatham.
