Chatham's 12th annual Book and Media Swap was held last weekend at the town hall annex.

The 12th annual Book and Media Swap brought hundreds of residents to the Chatham Town Hall Annex Saturday and Sunday, where thousands of books, DVDs, VHS tapes and other media found new homes. Just about every literary genre was represented in the stacks of hardcover and paperbacks, and piles of DVDs and VHS movies offered hours of browsing to the curious. Puzzles and vinyl records were also available. The event is sponsored by Chatham Recycles, which received help from a cadre of volunteers and members of AmeriCorps Cape Cod. TIM WOOD PHOTOS

Tables were fill of books.

Many different topics and genres of books were represented.

Piles of DVDs and VHS movies were available for the taking.

Careful searching was necessary to find the hidden gems among the many hundreds of CDs.

Boxes of vinyl records from past decades attracted attention.

A healthy Barnstable County requires great community news.
