Pals For Life Holds First Annual Kickball Tournament

CHATHAM – Five teams of local businesses faced off May 6 at Volunteer Park in a first annual kickball tournament to raise money for the Pals for Life Foundation, a Chatham-based nonprofit.

The five squads competing in the tournament were: Red Nun Bar and Grill, La Bella Vita Kitchen and Bar, Drifters, Hey Joe and Jam, and J.M. Riley Painting. Red Nun won the tournament, taking home a trophy to boot.

Pals For Life offers emergency financial assistance to hospitality workers. The foundation also holds the Costello Classic, a yearly golf tournament and the organization’s signature event. This year’s Costello Classic, the 30th annual, will be Oct. 7 at Captains Golf Course in Brewster. Info about the event will be updated on palsforlife.com.
