More Than 180 Runners Pound Pavement In Annual Brewster In Bloom 5K

BREWSTER – More than 180 people took part in the Brewster in Bloom 5K last Saturday morning.

The race started on Route 6A by Uncle Pete’s Chowder House, flowed down Lower Road, twisted through side streets and circled back the same way to the finish line at Trinity Lutheran Church.

The first finishers completed the 5-kilometer course with times of just over 20 minutes. Ages of participants ranged from 6 to 84 years old. Race proceeds benefited the Brewster Recreation Department's Bob Redd Memorial Youth of the Year Scholarship.
