Local Cape League Teams Seek Host Families

Imagine spending the summer with a future Cy Young Award winner or future batting champion. Think about how cool it would be to get to know a future Major League All Star or World Series champion before they make it to the big time.

Those hypothetical scenarios become a reality for many Cape Cod residents who host Cape Cod Baseball League players during the summer months.

The Brewster Whitecaps, Chatham Anglers, Harwich Mariners and Orleans Firebirds are currently looking for local individuals and families to host players during the upcoming season, which runs between June and the first two weeks of August.

Host parents and families are granted a weekly stipend to offset grocery costs while gaining the ability to establish relationships with some of the most talented collegiate ballplayers from around the nation.
