Fire Heavily Damages Brewster Home

Firefighters from Brewster and surrounding towns made quick work of a house fire at 5 Beechtree Dr. at around 7:30 Tuesday morning.

They arrived to find flames coming from the windows and roof of the single-family home. No one was hurt, though one firefighter was evaluated for a possible minor injury. The blaze caused heavy damage to the first and second floors of the house, and the state fire marshal’s office is investigating.

“Brewster firefighters and our automatic aid partners did an excellent job,” Fire Chief Robert Moran said.
