Tamarr Washington had one more big performance in him, and he delivered it Sunday on a big stage at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center.

The Monomoy junior point guard was named the Leo Miller Most Valuable Player of the Cape Cod Boys Basketball All Star Game after he finished with 20 points and led the Lower Cape squad to a 119-103 victory over Upper Cape.

Washington represented Monomoy alongside his junior teammate Jackson Rocco. The pair were both Cape and Islands League All Stars after propelling the Sharks back to the Division 4 state tournament this winter.

For Washington, a Harwich resident, Sunday’s output was the latest in a string of strong performances. He led Monomoy with a game-high 23 points in the Sharks’ season-ending 61-53 overtime loss to Bourne — the eventual state runner-up — in the second round of the state tournament on March 5.

“All year long, we’ve been seeing the growth of Tamarr Washington,” Monomoy coach John McCarthy said after the Bourne loss.
