Cape League Championship Series Begins Sunday

HARWICH – The final series to determine this summer’s winner of the Cape Cod Baseball League has arrived.
 The championship series, between the Harwich Mariners and the Bourne Braves, begins with Game 1 Sunday at 5:30 p.m. at Whitehouse Field. Game 2 is Monday 6 p.m. at Doran Park in Bourne. Game 3, if necessary, will be Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Whitehouse Field.
 To reach the championship, the third-seed Mariners swept Brewster in the East Division semifinals and Yarmouth-Dennis in the finals. 
 Two-seed Bourne, the defending league-winners, swept Falmouth in the West Division semifinals and Hyannis in the finals.
 This is Harwich’s first appearance in the championship since 2024, when they beat Bourne in three games. Bourne has reached the championship series in six consecutive seasons.
