Robert Louis Bradley

June 5, 1935 – July 16, 2026

Robert Louis Bradley, of Harwich, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his home on July 16, surrounded by family and friends, after a period of declining health. He was 91 years old.

Born on June 5, 1935, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Robert—known to family and friends as Bob—was the son of Charles Edward Bradley II and Edmee (Cloutier) Bradley, longtime real estate brokers in the Andover community. He was raised in Andover and attended Phillips Academy Andover, before studying architecture at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.  

Following his formal education, Bob established a successful architectural practice in Boston, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike through his professionalism, creativity, and commitment to excellence. His work helped shape homes and buildings throughout the region, leaving a lasting legacy in the communities he served.

Bob and his beloved wife, Maria K. Dounelis-Bradley, maintained homes in Boston's South End, Ogunquit, Maine, and Harwich, Massachusetts, where they found great joy in entertaining family and friends. Together they shared a deep appreciation for the arts, the value of community service, and the enduring relationships they cultivated throughout their lives.  

Bob was predeceased by his wife, Maria; his older brothers, Charles E. Bradley Sr. and William C. Bradley; and his younger sister, Barbara Caswell. He is survived by many extended family members and cherished friends who will miss him dearly.

He will be remembered for his creativity, quick wit, keen intellect, thoughtful and generous nature, and steady presence.

His family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care and support he received from caregivers, whose devotion and compassion allowed him to remain peacefully in the comfort of his home.

Interment will be private. Additional information regarding a memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
