Born in Bayside, Long Island, N.Y. Nancy Doble Berbrick was the daughter of Ralph Nelson Doble and Blanche Becker Doble. After seven years her family moved to Hingham, MA where she experienced a delightful childhood with her siblings and school friends.  While in Hingham she attended Derby Academy for two years and then transferred to Hingham High School from which she graduated.  Glee Club, Field Hockey, Girl Scouts and Dramatics filled her days.
She graduated from House In The Pines Junior College in Norton, MA.  While there she was chosen President of the Senior Council and was honored by receiving the school’s highest award, “The Spirit Cup”. Then it was on to Emerson College in Boston, MA. She was a member of the Phi Mu Gamma Society and majored in Speech and Drama.
Upon graduation in 1943 she married and joined her husband of seventy years Kenneth Lovell Berbrick, a captain in the Transportation Corps, who was stationed at Fort Mason, San Francisco.  After the war they returned to the East Coast.  Plainfield, NJ became their home for the next five years.  They were members of the Plainfield Unitarian-Universalist Church. Nancy joined a community theater group, “The Parish Players”, until their son Jeffrey Niles Berbrick arrived in 1953.  In 1955 they moved to Armonk, NY where they lived for 35 years. Their daughter Marcy Lovell Berbrick arrived in 1957.  Once again Nancy was involved in community theater, “The North Castle Players”.  For 21 years she was employed as a librarian in the Wampus elementary school in the Byram Hills Central School District.
In 1990 she and her husband retired and moved to Brewster, Cape Cod where she quickly became involved in volunteer work. For six years she served on the Foundation Board of the Visiting Nurse Association. She became a member of the Brewster Historical Society and served on its board for several years as well as volunteering as a docent.  She was a member and volunteer for Cape Rep Theater and an active member of First Parish Brewster U.U.A.
She was predeceased by her husband of over seventy years in 2013. She leaves her son Jeffrey, daughter Marcy and son-in-law Carey, grandson Alex and a large and loving extended family.  A memorial service will be held at First Parish Brewster Unitarian Universalist church at a later date.
