NORTH EASTHAM – Nauset senior Wyatt Carroll picked up the sole win for the Warriors in a 4-1 loss to Monomoy last Friday, and the match said much about how far he had come as a player.
“He doesn’t make silly errors,” head coach Andy Lisle said. “He's constructing points, and he's winning.”
Carroll, at third singles, defeated Sharks eighth grader John Sene 6-0, 6-3. He’d been a doubles player in previous seasons but is seeing singles action in 2026.
“The serve is coming up,” Lisle said. “He's consistent with it. He doesn't beat himself.”
Carroll and fellow singles players Dusty O’Campbell and Will Christopher are all pretty close in skill, according to Lisle. The Warriors are also just close as a team — supportive of each other and fixated on improvement and fun. Carroll, in particular, has been turning it up, and a good season has resulted.
“He's come a long way,” Lisle said. “He really has. He's come a long way.”
A healthy Barnstable County requires great community news.
