Harold Denver Goodwin Jr

Harold Denver Goodwin Jr, 100, of Chatham passed away on March 24, 2026. Harold was born to Harold and Francis (Carter) in Lynn, MA on October 7,1925.  Harold was predeceased by his first wife Shirley R. Proudfoot in 1991 after 44 years of marriage.  Harold was a proud member of the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific during World War II from 1943 to 1946.
   After the service Harold followed his parents to Chatham where he met Shirley.  They were blessed with three children: Bruce (Christine) of Brandon, FL; Wayne (Janet) of Kingman, AZ; and Steven (Maureen) of Brewster, MA. He will also be missed by his grandchildren: Jennifer, Kate, Lindsey, Amy and his two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Harold started a home building business in 1962 after working for years with other builders in Chatham.  He retired in 1989 and passed the business on to his sons Steve and Wayne who carried on his craftmanship until 2019.
