Christopher John Lajoie

 Christopher John Lajoie, 59 of Brewster, Massachusetts passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 14, 2026.   Born on December 18, 1966, in Westfield, Massachusetts, he was the youngest child of Francis E. Lajoie and Margaret B. Lajoie.
   Known for his kind soul, his humor and his passion for fishing, Chris brought immense joy to everyone he met, especially his sons.
   Chris attended Nauset Regional High School where he excelled in sports and drama.  After school, he entered the Coast Guard and served on the CGC Bittersweet and subsequently on the CGC Courageous where he received the National Defense Service Medal in 1991.
  He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis (Frank) and Margaret (Peggy) Lajoie. He is survived by his siblings, Cathy (Patrick) Tivnan of Summerville, SC, Steven (Mary) Lajoie of Seminole, FL, Susan (Serge Lesage) Lajoie of Quebec City, Canada, David (Holly) Lajoie of Wellfleet, MA, Amy (Jim) Sullivan, of North Hampton, NH, Peter (Annie) Lajoie of Eastham, MA, his many nieces and nephews and the two loves of his life, his sons, Lukas and Myles Lajoie of Harwich, MA.
  Services will be held on April 18th, 2026, at the Nickerson Funeral Home in Orleans. Visitation at 10:00am with a service at 11:00am followed by military honors at the Orleans Cemetery.
