Karol Bowker Wyckoff, 89, of Bass River, Mass., passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026. A beloved mother, grandmother, artist, and teacher, Karol devoted her life to beauty, creativity, generosity, and community, touching countless lives.
Born in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and inspired by summers in Truro, Karol developed a lifelong love of art and nature. She became one of Cape Cod’s most respected watercolor artists, with her luminous work exhibited widely and held in major museum collections. Over a career spanning nearly seven decades, she earned more than 200 awards.
Karol was also a devoted mentor and philanthropist who believed deeply in making art accessible to all. She established a scholarship for local students and generously supported many community causes.
She is survived by her children, Tripp and Kristin, stepchildren Connie, Laurie and Doug, her ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and her extended family. Known for her kindness, optimism, and joyful spirit, Karol brought light to everyone she met and will be deeply missed.
