Patricia A. Cusimano

January 21, 2026

Patricia A. Cusimano (née Patricia Pentes), age 82, peacefully passed away in her home on January 7, 2026. Pat was born on July 14, 1943, in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from boarding school in Boston, Pat headed to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Shortly after receiving her degree, she met her soulmate, Joe. Pat and Joe married on October 2, 1965, and together they embarked on a 59-year journey filled with friendships, travels, adventure, and, above of all, family.
Nothing was more important to Pat than her family. Thirteen months after their wedding, Pat and Joe welcomed their first son Jay to the world. From that point forward, Pat’s full-time job was family, though she would never consider it work or a job. As Joe’s career kept the family constantly on the move from Worcester, MA, to Des Plaines, IL; then to Los Gatos, CA; Northborough, MA; Glastonbury, CT; back to Worcester, MA; followed by Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Paris, France; then to Akron, OH; and back again to Worcester before retiring to Chatham, MA, Pat always ensured the family, both immediate and extended, stayed together.
With three active sons and a husband who never stopped moving, Pat was the glue that kept the home running and filled with love. She relished the quiet moments, whether on the beach enjoying the sunset, on the patio reading the newspaper, or in front of the fireplace curling up with a good book; but she never shied away from the fun. She loved social gatherings, small and large, and playing cards, games, and golf with her many friends in Worcester, the Cape, Naples, and numerous other spots across the country.
But most of all, Pat loved to vacation and celebrate the holidays with her immediate and extended family, spending many summers on the coast of Maine and later in Chatham, MA. Christmas seasons were celebrated first in Jamestown, NY and Steubenville, OH, and later at ski resorts all over the western U.S. and Europe.
When Joe’s health declined, Pat ensured the Christmas family get togethers continued, whether in Park City, UT, St. Petersburg, FL, the Dolomites in the Italian Alps, and in the two weeks before her passing, in Val D’Isere and Paris, France with her sons, daughters-in-laws, and all of her grandchildren and their loved ones. She always kept up with the group.
With unfailing grace, impeccable taste, and flawless etiquette and manners, Pat was the epitome of fashion, food, and style. Never was a holiday, celebration, or even a cocktail enjoyed at her home without everything being in perfect condition and place. Pat was beyond polite and caring, welcoming everyone with warmth, love, and open arms. She shared her compassion with and through various organizations, including the Junior League and Audio Journal in Worcester, MA, and the Cape Cod Hospital.
Pat is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Jennifer Cusimano of Bay Village, OH, Andy and Carey Cusimano of Park City, UT, and Greg and Tehan Cusimano of Boylston, MA, her seven amazing grandchildren, Jessica (and Lynsey), Amanda, Kyle, Emma, Natalie, Charlie, and Gabby, her sister Mary Ellen Graham and brother Tom and sister-in-law Shelle Pentes, and her nieces Renee Graham and Anne Graham, and nephews Peter (and Monica) Graham, Jeff (and Renee) Graham, Matt Graham (and Celene Hawkins), Geoff (and Kim) Pentes, and Chris (and Jennifer) Pentes. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Joe, and her parents Andy and Eveyln Pentes.
