Grenville Gilbert Garceau, Jr.

Grenville Gilbert Garceau, Jr. passed away peacefully on November 23rd, 2025. He was 95.
Gren is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Joann, six children and their spouses, (Brian
and Dena Garceau, David and Vikki Garceau, Gary and Anne Garceau, Tammy and Peter
Hock, Heidi Proulx and fiancé, Richard Harris, and Wendy Noyes), twelve grandchildren
(Stephanie, Nicole, Ben, Gary, Maggie, Thomas, Max, Danielle, Charlie, Caroline, Melissa
and Jacob) and five great-grandchildren (Chloe, Micah, Noah, Julian and Callie). Born the
second son of the late Elisabeth Hill and Grenville Garceau Sr in Cambridge,
Massachusetts, he is predeceased by his siblings, Therese Garceau, Charlotte (Puddy)
Treuenfels, Arthur Garceau, and John Garceau.
Gren worked hard to provide for his large
family. He was an electrical engineer, home builder and bookstore owner. Gren loved to
sail. He raced his Sunfish at the Chatham Yacht Club. He and Joann sailed their Cape Dory
off the coast of Cape Cod. Gren will be remembered as a loving husband, father,
grandfather and industrious man who loved the outdoors, the smell of the ocean, and the
simple joys in life.
