Our View: Why We’re Thankful
Here at The Cape Cod Chronicle, we’ve got a lot of reasons to be thankful. More than 60, that’s for certain.
With your support over the decades, we’ve been here since 1965, and the milestone we mark this year is reason enough for gratitude.
We appreciate you, our readers, and especially our subscribers, who help make our work possible. We’re grateful for the local businesses that trust us with their advertising, helping us to keep the news and information flowing each week. We’re thankful to be an independent small business that seems more like a family, and we appreciate every staff member who lends their incredible talent and dedication to our pages every week.
As journalists, we’re thankful for the opportunity to practice our vocation in communities that value our work, and we’re thankful for the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution that provides us with that most precious fundamental freedom: the freedom of speech. We don’t pause often enough to reflect on that great gift, but we’re certainly doing so nowadays.
Thank you.
A healthy Barnstable County requires great community news.
