Lower Cape Teams Earn High Placements At Boston Synchronized Skating Classic

NORWOOD – Two synchronized skating teams from the Lower Cape Figure Skating Association competed last Saturday against teams from across the United States in the Boston Synchronized Skating Classic at The Skating Club of Boston.
Lower Cape Synchro Aspire placed first among three teams with a unanimous vote from all judges. Lower Cape Preliminary placed third out of eight teams in a competitive division. They scored 19.03, just behind the runner-up and winning scores of 19.98 and 20.34.
Participating skaters range from 9 to 13 years old and live in Harwich, Brewster, Chatham, Orleans, Eastham and Wellfleet. Teams are coached by Hannah Kast, Lauren Mahoney, Ashley Totora and Victoria Valentino.
The teams skate at Charles Moore Arena in Orleans. The Boston Synchronized Skating Classic was the first of four competitions this season.
