Toast Of Harwich Coming In November
HARWICH – Tickets are now on sale for the 25th annual Toast of Harwich to be held at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club on the evening of Friday, Nov, 21.
“I’m super excited to have the 25th annual Toast of Harwich tied to the 100th anniversary of the Wequassett,” said Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cyndi Williams. “It is a special year for us as well as the Wequassett.”
Once again the exclusive wine partner is Josh Cellars, which will also be the VIP Prosecco provider, Williams said. Upon arrival, VIP guests will receive a navy blue champagne flute of Josh Prosecco.
Craft beer available includes offerings from Devil's Purse, Cape Cod Beer, Hog Island and Mayflower Brewing Company.
There will be a wide variety of culinary delights with a few additions this year, said Williams. Participating restaurants include 400 East, Brenda's Cakes for all Occasions, Buca's Tuscan Roadhouse, Cape Sea Grille, Dairy Queen, Dancing Spoons Catering, The Grateful Mug Cafe, Lanyard Restaurant, Mad Minnow and Three Monkeys Bar and Kitchen, Navillus Restaurant, Red River BBQ, Regal Care of Harwich, Thirwood Place and Wequassett Resort and Golf Club.
”We are excited this year to welcome to The Toast The COVE Restaurant at Cape Cod Regional Technical School and our newest member and the hottest traveling culinary delight, Shorecuterie Cape Cod, will be there with her cart of delectable treats,” Williams said. Rounding out the samplings will be Sweet Izzy's.
The Garden Terrace and Pavilion Ballroom will be set up as it was last year showcasing food and beverage vendors in both locations so the attendees can move about enjoying both tastings and samplings as well as bidding on raffles.
“We are kicking it up again this year with the silent auction. Last year we had four vacation packages to bid on and this year we have eight packages, and these are truly priceless,” said Williams.
They include two trips to Tuscany at the Wine and Culinary Villa for eight people; a New Orleans jazz and culinary tour for two; a Ranch Resort Spa, a three-night getaway in Colorado; Sun Sea at Atlantis, a family package for four nights for two adults and two children; a Napa Valley Wine Tour package for two; a Santa Fe Cooking, art and culture package for four nights for two; and Disney in Oahu for four nights for two adults and two children.
The silent auction will open early at the Harwich Chamber of Commerce office on Sunday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bidding closes on Nov. 21 at 9 p.m. at the event.
The evening wouldn’t be complete without music and dancing, and once again Mike Dumas and the Satellite Band will provide the tunes.
VIP tickets allow early arrival at 6 p.m. with immediate access to evening tastings and samplings, early bidding, and Prosecco. General admission begins at 7 p.m. VIP tickets are $120 and general admission is $85. To purchase tickets go to www.harwichcc.com.
