HARWICH – Police often do not get enough recognition for the services they provide, but Hinckley Homer Center and the Harwich Chamber of Commerce joined forces Saturday to honor departments and officers serving the local communities.
The third annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was held at Hinckley Home Center in East Harwich. The event provided an opportunity for people to reach out and thank the officers who serve them.
The event included a state police helicopter flyover; a massive motorcycle parade put on by the Big Nick Riders for the Fallen and Patriot Riders; a touch-a-truck activity for kids; live music provided by North Country; and food from Red River Barbeque.
This year the Animal Rescue League of Boston joined the event with a pet food drive
