HARWICH – Another successful Port Summer Nights season drew large crowds to dance and take advantage of restaurants and shops in the village.
“With nine weeks of music and four bands each week, and each week the crowds of people growing, our restaurants had wait lines,” said Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cyndi Williams. “When speaking with many of our businesses, they all said this year was a record summer for them.”
Even the Pilgrim Masonic Lodge, which sells popcorn, had record sales this summer. The money raised will go right back into the community in various ways, said Williams.
This year's series was dedicated to the late musician Bruce McLean. “Bruce played in many bands throughout the years and we felt it would be a great way to honor him,” said Williams.
The chamber is already looking forward to what the 2026 lineup will be, she said
