Grammy-Nominated Maggie Rose To Perform Benefit Concert

HARWICH PORT – Fresh off a Grammy nomination, an Americana powerhouse will make a stop at a local artisanal shop, performing an intimate benefit concert in support of The Children’s Center of Harwich.
On Sept. 6, Maggie Rose, a Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter, will perform at Reciprocity Artisans’ Market in Harwich Port alongside the Cal Kehoe Band and the Tummies. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Children’s Center of Harwich, which focuses on providing affordable, high-quality early childhood education for local families.
Founded in 1993 by the Harwich Ecumenical Council for Housing (HECH), the Children’s Center is the longest-running community-based preschool in town. In working to provide affordable housing, HECH found that many families could not work because of young children at home. So HECH established the Children’s Center to provide affordable early learning for young children while their parents worked, according to its website.
Against this backdrop of community support, Rose brings her nationally acclaimed music to the stage. Over the past decade, she has carved out a reputation as one of Americana’s most versatile performers. She has released four studio albums, earned critical praise for her dynamic live shows, and become a regular at the Grand Ole Opry.
Along the way she’s toured with acts like Chris Stapleton, Kelly Clarkson and the Tedeschi Trucks Band, while appearing at major festivals including Newport Folk, Austin City Limits and Bonnaroo. She has even appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “CBS Saturday Morning” and “Today.”
Rose’s latest album, “No One Gets Out Alive,” earned a Grammy nomination for Best Americana Album and cemented her place as one of the genre’s leading voices. The record was named one of the “100 Best Albums of 2024” by Rolling Stone.
For Cape Cod fans, the Harwich performance offers a rare opportunity to see Rose in an up-close setting. The venue itself, Reciprocity Artisans’ Market, is known for hosting concerts and community events in a creative, welcoming space that celebrates local art, music and culture. According to founder and owner Rebecca Ahrensfeld, the concert is a chance for Cape Cod audiences to experience Maggie Rose’s performance while supporting a local cause with amazing people behind it.
“We are like a family,” she said, adding that “it’s just a real squishy friendly concert full of incredibly appreciative people.”
Tickets are limited and expected to sell out. More information and ticket purchases can be made through Rose’s website at www.maggierosemusic.com.
