Cape League Releases 2024 Schedule; Opening Day Set For June 15
Bust out your calendar and start your countdown — the 2024 Cape Cod Baseball League is on the horizon.
On Monday, the league released its ‘24 schedule, which is set to begin with a full slate of opening day games on Saturday, June 15.
Reigning East Division champion Orleans will travel to Bourne to face the two-time defending Cape League champion Braves for a rematch of last year’s championship series, while Chatham will visit Wareham, Harwich will travel to Cotuit, and Brewster will head to Yarmouth-Dennis.
The Cape Cod Baseball League All Star game returns to Falmouth on July 27 for the first time since 2003 before the playoffs begin Aug. 6 and end Aug. 12.
This year’s postseason will feature an altered format: the top four teams from each division will qualify for the playoffs and teams will play single-game elimination games in the first round. The division championship and Cape League championship series will be best-of-three series.
