Then And Now

On Nov. 15, 2007, The Chronicle ran this photo under the headline, “Something in the Water?” Five Chatham firefighters had fathered baby daughters in the previous year.  
This week, most of the daughters are graduating from Monomoy High (one was a September baby and is currently a junior). Pictured are, from the left, Tim Hunter and Sadie; R.J. Silvester and Emily; Dave Ready and Joanna; Scott Long and Abrielle; and Kevin Moore and Fiona. Note in this photo there’s a new fire truck and a new fire station, though all the fathers — and the photographer — feel pretty old.
